newlife community groups

We have been created to live in community and not in isolation. Physically, we do live in a community, but spiritually, socially, and relationally we often live our lives in isolation. We find ourselves with no one to turn to when we have a major issue that has just surfaced in our life. Living in community affords us the opportunity to more wholly experience God through close relationships as we play and pray together, as we encourage and help one another, and as we study and live out God’s word together.

At our church, a community group usually consists of 7-15 attendees in various life stages who meet on a regular basis in someone's home. These communities are about establishing relationships that encourage us to grow spiritually, offer mercy towards one another in our time of need, and, as groups, be the hand of justice in our community and the world around us.

At NewLife Community Church we are excited about the opportunity for families to grow to know God more. After families sing together, children go downstairs to DiscoveryLand during the morning sermon. Our Children’s Ministry is an interactive, fun and safe environment where children learn about Jesus.

In the Fall of 2013, we began using the Kidmo program. Kidmo uses high energy, fun, interactive DVDs to bring worship, scripture and bible lessons to children through actions, games, incentives and team work. It further encourages children to take what they learn on a Sunday morning and apply it in practical ways to their lives throughout the week with take-home activities.

The program is organized as follows:

Nursery: up to 23 months

Lil'K: 2 year olds - 5 year olds (kindergarten)

Johnny Rogers: 6 year olds - 12 year olds (grades 1-6)

Worship Ministry

The purpose of the Worship Ministry is to use music and song to provide an environment for people to celebrate God's goodness, to glorify God and through these to experience life transformation. Every week, our community comes together for thanksgiving, praise and worship.
